Philadelphia Auto Show Part 2

Today, I’m going to discuss my top three favorite features of the Auto Show.  Above is a video from the Philadelphia Auto Show featuring: Camp Jeep, Interactive Features, and Ride and Drives.  Overall, the Auto Show was great, and I would suggest going next February.  So, let’s get started.

1. Camp Jeep

Camp Jeep had to be the best part of the Auto Show.  I loved seeing all the Jeeps in action and the capabilities they have.  Also, it was interesting to watch a smaller car such as the Jeep Compass (the red vehicle) perform just as well off road as the larger Jeep Wrangler or Grand Cherokee.  The wait was a little long, but totally worth it.

Once you signed in and got a wrist band, you hopped into one of the great models and then held on for the ride.  Whether it be steps to climb or a 35 degree angled hill, the Jeeps could handle it all.  At one point, I was holding on to the handle on the glove box feeling as though I was on a roller coaster.  Also, the drivers did a great job adapting to who was in the car and taking it easier when little children were in the vehicle.  I was in a Jeep with a child who was riding in the back, and I was glad that our driver took it easier.  From the top of the ramp, you could see the entire auto show and all the different features.  At the end, there was also a chance to register to win money for a Jeep.

Every year I go to the car show, Camp Jeep is my first stop because of the great course as well as the ability to see these vehicles in action.  This is why Camp Jeep was my favorite part of the Auto Show!

2. Interactive Features

There were some great car related games for all ages that kept people entertained.  Both Ford and Hyundai had racing games.  It was interesting to watch Ford’s because the seat and screens had the capability to move 360 degrees giving the driver a feeling of actually racing.  These attracted people to the exhibits which was great for advertising.

Also the Kia Hamster greeted visitors and attracted them to Kia’s exhibit.  Children and adults of all ages to take pictures and sit in the Kia Soul.  It was nice to see the kids smile after enjoying a great race or meeting the Hamster.

These made the Car Show that much better for them and even more memorable.  Overall, this was my second favorite feature, and I hope next year there will be more exciting, interactive features.

3. Ride and Drives

Similar to Camp Jeep, the Ride and Drive options for BMW, Toyota, Mazda, Volkswagen, and Kia gave visitors the ability to see the capabilities of the vehicles.  It’s great to be able to test drive a car at the Car Show.  I felt there was a great array of vehicles to choose from and wished that I had the time to take them all on a test drive.  Overall, this was a great feature that I wish every brand offered.  I love the idea of bringing the dealership and test drives to the Car Show.

In the end, the Philadelphia Auto Show was great, and I cannot wait to go next year.  These were my top three favorite features, and if you would like to see more about the show, visit Philly Voice.  Also, feel free to see my first post about the Auto Show’s layout featuring interviews of visitors at CarsCruisetheNews.com.
