The New Honda Accord

Today, I’m going to be discussing the newly redesigned Honda Accord.  Yesterday, I test drove a Honda Accord Sport model.  Above is a video I created while at the dealership and on a test drive.  I would like to give a special thanks to Burns Honda.  So, let’s get started!

Honda really hit the mark with this Accord.  Previously, it seemed a little boxy and not too sporty, but now, it looks sharp.  It is easily recognizable and stands out from the crowd with its great colors and sporty rims.  The great LED lights connect the front with a chrome stripe over the grill.  My favorite addition is the black chrome options to tone down the brightness while still adding a cool sleek aspect.  Also, the sharp lines draw your eye all around the car to see every feature.

Overall, this car does a great job looking sporty and with Honda Sensing, you are prepared for what is to come.  The car can practically drive itself with the ability to use the Adaptive Cruise Control to keep a safe following distance while the vehicle drives.  Also, the car will keep you within the lane at highway speeds unless you use a turn signal.  Stopping is also another feature that the Honda can perform on its own if you don’t see something.  These are all great features that make the high-tech looking exterior meet all the expectations of consumers allowing this Honda to win seven highly esteemed awards.  Honda made a great car that really looks great!

Interior

The interior is just as great if not better than the exterior.  With a touchscreen display and a carbon fiber looking trim, Honda made this feel like a race car.  I test drove this vehicle, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out about the Digital Driver Interface.  It is a nice touch and really stepped this Accord up to the next level.  With VW and Audi both having a similar feature, the Honda can now compete, and in my mind, beat the previous luxury vehicles because with a Sport model base price of less than $26,000, it is a great deal.

Also, the push button start was a sporty feature with the red outline and lighting.  Honda added a lot of high-tech features that really put this on the next level.  I cannot wait to see the Accord Hybrid.  Another great design feature is the knee room.  I am taller than 6ft 5in, and I fit in the car without any issue.  It is a little low, but I could still get in and out comfortably.

In the end, Honda did very well with this vehicle, and I expect it to sell quickly.  Between the sporty interior and exterior with great technological features, not many vehicles can compare for the price.  To read another review about the Accord, click here.
