Before I begin, I would just like to thank everyone for viewing my blog. This is my first post this school year, and I cannot wait to write more about cars, news, and technology as the year progresses. So once again, thank you and it’s great to be back.
This blog today is going to discuss the top three sportiest cars, and why I think they make the list.
3. Land Rover Range Rover
The Land Rover Range Rover makes the list because of how even though it is an SUV, it still has the sportiness of a car. The fins in the front door add a sense of sports car to this already beautiful vehicle. The grill with the LED headlights complements the already fast looking car. The chrome accents on the wheels as well as on the hatch and door panels add a component of luxury. Car and Driver lists this Land Rover on their top ten as well. This vehicle is pricey though, starting at almost $86,000. That is the reason it is not higher on my list. The price along with the lack of changes throughout the years leads me to believe that this is overpriced. It is much slower than the Audi TT with a 3.0 Liter engine and has a lower mpg. Overall , this car gets on the list, but is number three due to cost and lower fuel economy.
2. Audi TT
The Audi TT is a great car. It looks sleek and fast. Overall, it is a great car to own. Starting at $43,500 this car can get pricey fast; the design overall is one of the best. It features an option S line Competition Package which adds a level of sportiness by changing the chrome to black. It also adds red brakes and upgraded leather seats. Although this vehicle includes a back seat, it would be difficult to fit an adult. CarBuyer discusses how the diesel model performs and its pros and cons. Also discussed is the speed of this vehicle. The 0-62mph acceleration takes only a little over five seconds with a 2.0 liter Quattro engine. Overall, the sharp lines and sporty features such as the headlights and tires add this to the list as number two.
1. Tesla Model S
The Tesla Model S is one of the highest on the list because of its innovative technology that adds to the sportiness including the retracting door handles that smooth out the lines on the sides of the car. Also, the unique grill makes it easily recognizable. The Tesla logo is incorporated in the chrome grill. The price begins at almost $63,000 and can accelerate to 60mph in only two and a half seconds. It is unbelievable to see the speeds this car can go and still run on electric power for this price. The interior complements the exterior as well with its large, touchscreen display and smooth lines throughout.
